Disaster loans Home and Renters
Following the Major Disaster Declaration for Hamilton County, disaster assistance is now available for residents and businesses impacted by the severe weather that occurred between August 10-22, 2026. The attached press release outlines the different programs that are available through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Small Business Administration (SBA). Residents and businesses may apply online, by phone, or in-person.
For those looking to apply in-person, Hamilton County will host a Disaster Recovery Center at our Central Campus (1701 Patricia McCollum Way, Cincinnati, OH 45237) beginning Wednesday, October 7, 2026. At the location residents and businesses can get support applying for assistance, learn about available resources, and ask questions from FEMA, the SBA, Ohio EMA, Ohio Department of Insurance, Ohio BMV, and Hamilton County EMHSA. SHOP WITH A HERO — APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN!
The City of Cheviot is excited to announce that applications for our Shop with a Hero Program are being accepted October 1–October 30, 2026!
Last year, thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, we were able to help 15 Cheviot families experience a little extra holiday magic. This year, we want to make an even bigger impact! ❤️
Who Is Eligible?
To be considered for the Shop with a Hero Program:
The family must be a current resident of the City of Cheviot, Ohio.
The nominated child or children must be under 18 years of age.
The child or children must live with the parent/guardian residing in Cheviot.
The family must be able to provide proof of Cheviot residency if selected.
Submitting an application does not guarantee selection. Families will be selected based on the information provided and the number of families the program is able to assist.
We know there are families in our community who could use a little extra help during the holiday season. If you or a family you know may benefit from this program, we encourage you to apply! Applications are open through October 30th.

Hamilton County’s upcoming CEDS Public Engagement Sessions, which will help shape the County’s economic development priorities and investments over the next five years.

The sessions are free and open to the public and will focus on priorities and opportunities related to workforce, business growth, infrastructure, transportation and Hamilton County’s economic future. We’d love to have you attend, and we’d also appreciate your help sharing the attached flyer and information below with residents, businesses and community partners in your networks.
This year’s event will be hosted at our new location in Sharonville on Saturday, November, 21st from 8am-2pm, 3440 East Kemper Rd. We are excited to show off our new space and will have a celebratory lunch with food trucks, pizza and lots of fun from 12p-2p. As always, we encourage teams to pick any day after the 15th of the month to schedule their service if they cannot make it on the main day. Last year PWC volunteers were able to assist over 700 families with leaf raking and gutter cleaning to help prepare them for the winter, but we had over 100 families who were not able to get any assistance, so the need for more volunteers is very real! PWC will provide the yard waste bags, gloves, rakes, and ladders for volunteers if needed (though we certainly appreciate teams that can provide some of their own tools)

Due to the high heat index expected August 31–September 4, the City of Cheviot Public Works Department will be starting garbage collection ONE HOUR EARLIER than normal.
👉 Please make sure your trash is out the night before your trash day so our crews can get the job done safely and beat the heat! 💪☀️
📅 LABOR DAY HOLIDAY REMINDER
Garbage collection for the week of September 7 will be ONE DAY LATE due to the Labor Day holiday.
